We’re delighted to announce that Dr. Angel Gavieiro is joining our team as a member of the Advisory Board.
Angel is a career banker and strategist with senior leadership experience across Barclays, Lloyds, Wells Fargo, and Al Hilal Bank, where he has driven strategy, growth, and innovation at scale. He is also an experienced operator, having run a wholesale banking business and led functions across treasury, capital markets, and credit trading.
Over the past decade, Angel has combined executive roles — most recently as Chief Strategy Officer and Board Executive Director at BancTrust Investment Bank — with advisory work through AG Strategy & Partners, supporting fintechs, mid-sized banks, and private market investors on strategy, business models, fundraising, and acquisitions. He is also the author of “Strategy in Action” (Springer Nature, 2022), where he introduces the Holistic Management Strategy (HMS) framework for navigating strategic decision-making.
At Verb Ventures, Angel will support our Fund II efforts, provide strategic steering for the GP, and work closely with our portfolio companies to sharpen strategy, business models, and financial planning. His perspective, drawn from decades of bridging global institutions and entrepreneurial ventures, will be a valuable resource as we continue to back bold founders building the digital infrastructure of global trade.
